July 19, 1985: Mariners (46-44) at Brewers (35-53)



Designated hitter Gorman Thomas slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI at COUNTY STADIUM where the Seattle Mariners beat the Milwaukee Brewers in 11 innings by the score of 8 to 5. 

 The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Seattle came out on top in the 11th inning. Phil Bradley led off and he doubled. Alvin Davis stepped up to the plate and he doubled scoring a single run. Thomas then lined a one-base hit driving in one more runner. Thomas took second on the throw. Al Cowens came up and he slapped a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning. Seattle finished with 15 hits while Milwaukee ended up with 11. 

 Jim Beattie(4-7) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. Roy Thomas earned the save, his 6th. Bob Gibson(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief. Seattle scored big getting 3 runs off him in 2 innings.
