The Atlanta Braves enjoyed a blow-out, pounding the New York Mets pitchers for 11 while Zane Smith(4-8)with the aid of the bullpen surrendered 3 runs to New York. 

Terry Harper had a big day against New York. He blasted a two-run home run in the 4th inning, laced a single bringing in two baserunners in the 7th inning and ripped a one-base hit in the 9th inning. New York was out-hit by Atlanta, 14 hits to 7. 

Sid Fernandez(15-4) was charged with the loss. He allowed 6 hits and 6 walks in 6 innings.
