Milwaukee was unable to climb back into it after Oakland went ahead for good in the top of the 2nd inning plating an isolated run. Dave Collins tripled. Mike Heath was next and he hit a deep fly scoring the run. Oakland rapped out 11 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Sutton(4-14) who allowed 2 runs for the game. Moose Haas(8-9) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
