September 10, 1985: Rangers (67-70) at A's (58-81)

The Texas Rangers defeated the Oakland Athletics by a score of 6 to 3 at OAKLAND COLISEUM.

Oakland surrendered all of the runs Texas needed in the 6th inning when they tallied 6 runs on 4 hits. The key at-bat was by Tommy Dunbar who silenced OAKLAND COLISEUM as he ripped a base-hit which was good for two runs. Texas managed 7 hits in their victory.

The victory was credited to Burt Hooton(8-9) who went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs. Greg Harris gained credit for his 32nd save. Chris Codiroli(7-16) was tagged with the loss. He was a hard-luck loser, pitching 5 and 2/3 innings and not allowing an earned run.
