September 17, 1985: Angels (61-83) at White Sox (70-73)

Catcher Carlton Fisk rocketed 2 homeruns as the Chicago White Sox bested the California Angels 3 to 2 at COMISKEY PARK. 

Fisk helped send the fans home happy. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 4th inning, stroked a one-base hit in the 6th inning and blasted a solo shot in the 8th inning. Bob James relieved and was untouched by California as he recorded the save, his 31st. 

Dave Wehrmeister(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. Stu Cliburn(4-5) was charged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 1 hit and no walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
