October 6, 1985: Braves (49-113) at Giants (74-88)

Jim Gott had a complete game as the San Francisco Giants pulled out a win over the Atlanta Braves by a score of 3 to 1 at CANDLESTICK PARK. 

San Francisco scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning plating 2 runs. Dan Driessen led off and started the attack as he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Bob Brenly came to bat and cracked a two-run shot giving San Francisco the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. San Francisco banged out 7 hits on the afternoon. 

Gott(13-12) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Terry Forster(0-6) was tagged with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings giving up 2 hits and 1 walk.
