May 17, 1985 Game 417: Rangers (12-20) at White Sox (14-16)

The White Sox gave the hometown fans a scare today as they took a 2-0 lead into the 8th inning and ended winning in dramatic fashion.  The Rangers took a 3-2 lead into the 9th and Charlie Hough was left in to finish his game.  Rudy Law's 2-out single in the bottom of the 9th scored Salazar and Hulett giving the White Sox a 4-3 win.  Law was 3-5 on the day with those 2 big RBI.

Dan Spillner (3-0) got the win in 0.1 of an inning in relief of Tom Seaver.  Charlie Hough (3-5) was the loss and Doug Rader left him in there just a tad to long.
