May 19, 1985 Game 447: Royals (20-14) at Brewers (19-14)

The Royals overcame some defensive miscues today.  The committed 4 errors in a win over the Brewers.  They were led by Steve Balboni and Darryl Motley.  Balboni went 4-5 with a HR (9) and 4 RBI.  Motley went 3-4 with a HR (7) and 3 RBI.  Balboni hit a 3 run blast in the 1st and Motley followed him with a solo shot to make it 4-0.

Danny Jackson battled through a tough 5th inning in which the Royals committed 3 errors 2 by George Brett.  Jackson never lost his cool and those errors led to 2 runs.  He was able to get Randy Ready to fly out to center to end the inning.  Ray Burris takes the loss.  He is now (5-2) on the season.
