It was a slugfest at Municipal Stadium today between the Brewers and the Indians. The hometown crowd would go home happy at the end of this crazy game.10 players would end up with 2 or more hits. 6 would have 3 or more and 2 would have 4 or more. Brett Butler finished the game going 5-5 with 2 runs scored. Ben Oglivie went 4-5 with a HR (2) and 4 RBI. There were a total of 34 hits in the game.
The Brewers were up 5-1 going into the 5th but the Indians score 5 off of Jamie Cocanower and take a 6-5 lead. The Brewers would tie it at 7 in the 7th. But the Indians get 2 in the bottom of the 7th to take a 9-7 lead. They would add 1 more in the 8th for a 10-7 win. Neal Heaton (6-4) takes the win in relief and Pete Ladd (0-1) is handed the loss.
