May 21, 1985 Game 475 White Sox (17-18) at Blue Jays (23-14)

Tom Seaver (6-2) pitched a shutout today.  He gave up  7 hits and walked no one.  He also struck-out 6.  He had very little trouble with the potent Blue Jay offense.  The Blue Jays Threatened in the 6th.  They would have runners on 1st and 2nd with 1-out but Seaver struck-out Barfield and Oliver to end the inning.  He got in some trouble again in the 8th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he would get Garcia to ground-out to Guillen to end the inning.

Dave Stieb (6-4) fought hard with Seaver and the score was 0-0 going into the 9th.  But Stieb would load the bases and he would walk Marc Hill to force home the only run of the game.  Dennis Lamp would replace Stieb after that and he got the nest to hitter s out to prevent further damage.  Seaver would get the Blue Jays out  1-2-3 to end the game.
