May 22, 1985 Game 477: Reds (22-17) at Cubs (21-16)

The Reds only managed 3 hits in today's contest, but boy were they big ones.  Dave Parker hits a solo homerun in the 1st to give the Reds a 1-0 lead.  Then in the 4th Buddy Bell hits a 2 run homer to make it 3-0.  Then in the 9 Dave Parker connects for his 2nd homerun of the game and this came with a man on to make it a 5-1 game.

Parker would go 2-4 with 2 HR's (7) and 3 RBI.  There were a total of 8 hits in the game and 4 of them were homeruns. Ron Cey hit one for the Cubs, it was his 4th of the season.  Tom Browning would go the distance to pick up the win.  He is now (4-3).
