June 8, 1985: Expos (24-30) at Phillies (20-32)

In an entertaining game at VETERANS STADIUM the final score was the Montreal Expos 6, the Philadelphia Phillies 3. 

Montreal came up with the deciding runs in the 8th inning plating 3 runs on 4 base hits. Hubie Brooks led off and started the attack as he laced a one-base hit. After an out was recorded, Scot Thompson came to the plate and lined a base-hit. Herm Winningham got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Mike Fitzgerald came up and he delivered a single. Doug Frobel stepped into the box and tripled. Montreal had 9 hits for the night. 

David Palmer(3-6) went 7 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Palmer got relief help from Jeff Reardon who gained credit for his 10th save. Kevin Gross(1-5) ended up with the loss.
