In a one-sided affair at MEMORIAL STADIUM the final score was the Baltimore Orioles 8, the Milwaukee Brewers 3. 

Milwaukee fell behind quickly as the Baltimore offense came through in the first inning scoring 4 runners on 4 hits. That early scoring held up. For the game Baltimore out-hit Milwaukee 12 to 8. 

Dennis Martinez(7-4) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Ray Burris(5-5) was given the loss. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 8 hits and no walks.
