Larry Sheets then reached on an error resulting in an exciting win for Baltimore and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. Milwaukee had 14 hits in the game while Baltimore had 6, but Baltimore had the more timely hits.
The win was credited to Storm Davis(8-3) who went 3 innings allowing no runs. Jaime Cocanower(2-5) suffered the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.
