June 19, 1985: Angels (27-36) at Indians (27-39)

In a thriller the Cleveland Indians staged a dramatic comeback over the California Angels winning by a score of 5 to 3 at MUNICIPAL STADIUM. 

Cleveland scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning plating 3 runs utilizing 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Jerry Willard kicked off the action when he lashed a single. After another out, Julio Franco came to bat and lined a one-base hit. Brook Jacoby then lofted a three-run bomb making Cleveland victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Both teams totaled 10 hits on the night. 

Bryan Clark(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no runs. The losing pitcher was Donnie Moore(2-3) in relief. 

'We just wouldn't give up,' Jacoby said. 'Much of the credit goes to our fans - they were with us the whole way.'
