June 21, 1985: Braves (21-43) at Reds (33-32)

At RIVERFRONT STADIUM, the Cincinnati fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. John Stuper(6-5) finally bested his Atlanta opposite, Len Barker(4-7), by the score of 3 to 1.

Cincinnati tallied 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. That early scoring was all that Stuper needed. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 4th inning with no runs scored after that point.

John Franco was credited with his 13th save. Barker ended up with the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 5 hits in 6 innings.
