June 22, 1985: Red Sox (39-28) at Blue Jays (40-28)

Oil Can Boyd whitewashed Toronto and Tony Armas knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at EXHIBITION STADIUM where the Boston Red Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays by the score of 3 to 0. 

Armas had a big day against Toronto. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 2nd inning and smashed a bases-empty homer in the 9th inning. Boston won despite being out-hit by Toronto 8 hits to 4. 

Boyd(7-3) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. Dave Stieb(11-5) ended up with the loss. He pitched 9 innings giving up only 4 hits and 3 walks.
