June 29, 1985: Indians (30-45) at Mariners (37-36)

Jack Perconte had 2 base hits as the Seattle Mariners beat the Cleveland Indians by a score of 8 to 6.

Ed Vande Berg(3-3) was the winning pitcher with a solid relief performance. He didn't allow much, just 1 hit and no walks in 1 inning. Cleveland made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.

Don Schulze(4-11) was tagged with the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in 4 innings. "Anytime you lose it hurts," said Pat Corrales "but it's losing the close ones that really hurt."
