June 29, 1985: Orioles (35-36) at Red Sox (44-29)

Bruce Hurst whiffed 12 batters as the Boston Red Sox outscored the Baltimore Orioles 8 to 5. 

Hurst(7-8) had a solid outing for Boston. He surrendered 11 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. Baltimore threatened in the 9th but Boston was able to put down the rally. 

Nate Snell(1-6) absorbed the loss in relief. Hurst was pleased with his performance. He noted, "I had good zip on my pitches. Just as important, my location was right on. The fans really got into the game too - that always helps me. Now, if I can only do that again in my next outing."
