The Toronto Blue Jays got by the Oakland Athletics in 10 innings at OAKLAND COLISEUM. The final score was 6 to 4. 

The score was tied at 4 after nine. Toronto ended up winning it in the 10th inning. After two outs Willie Upshaw got things rolling when he laced a single. Lloyd Moseby was next and he blasted a two-run home run. Toronto totaled 12 hits on the night. 

Dennis Lamp(3-6) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Tom Henke earned the save, his 15th. The losing pitcher was Keith Atherton(2-2) in relief. Although losing the contest, he whiffed 6 batters in 3 innings.
