Bob Forsch threw a complete game shutout at BUSCH STADIUM where the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2 to 0. 

Forsch(8-6) was in control of the game from the outset. He didn't give up much, just 4 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 4.24 to 3.91. St. Louis finished with just 5 hits in the victory. 

The loss was charged to Fernando Valenzuela(8-6). St. Louis now has a record of 44-34. With the loss, Los Angeles has a record of 6-4 lately, 47-32 overall.
