July 10, 1985: White Sox at (38-43) at Tigers (49-33)

Chet Lemon slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI at TIGER STADIUM where the Detroit Tigers beat the Chicago White Sox 8 to 5. 

Detroit went ahead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Lemon who made the Detroit fans a happy lot when he slapped a base-hit which was good for two runs. Although they lost, Chicago did out-hit Detroit 12 to 9. 

Todd Crane(8-5) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Crane got relief help from Aurelio Lopez who gained credit for his 3rd save. The loss was charged to Gene Nelson(8-10).
