Second baseman Bob Bailor had 2 base hits as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs by a score of 4 to 3. 

Jerry Reuss(10-5) pitched well for Los Angeles in their victory. He went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits and 6 walks. Los Angeles had 11 hits for the afternoon while Chicago had 8. 

Tom Niedenfuer earned the save, his 15th. Scott Sanderson(8-5) was the losing pitcher. 'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Reuss, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
