July 14, 1985: Giants (37-51) at Pirates (34-52)

Vida Blue was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the San Francisco Giants defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 7 to 1 at Forbes Field. 

Jeff Leonard provided much of the offense. He belted a three-run homer in the 8th inning and doubled knocking in a run in the 9th inning. The teams had been locked in a scoreless duel until the 6th inning. 

Blue(4-12) got the victory, allowing 1 run for the game. Lee Tunnell(2-9) absorbed the loss. With this win, San Francisco has a 37-51 record. They have been 4-6 lately. With the loss Pittsburgh now has a record of 34-52, worst in the division.
