The critical plate appearance was by Duncan who made the Los Angeles fans a happy lot when he slapped a single which was good for two runs. Los Angeles had 15 hits for the night.

The winning pitcher was Honeycutt(7-1) who allowed 2 runs for the game. Danny Cox(5-7) was given the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings.
