July 18, 1985: Mariners (45-44) at Brewers (35-52)

Mark Langston(8-7) and Ray Burris(6-11) dueled it out with Langston and the Seattle Mariners coming out on top of the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 3 to 1.

Seattle brought 2 runs across the plate in the 5th inning. The key offensive moment was provided by Jim Presley who silenced the stadium when he blasted a two-run home run. Langston was helped out by Roy Thomas who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 5th save.

'We really needed this win' said Chuck Cottier. 'That first drink of water at the end of a drought sure does taste good!'
