Tanana(11-3) was very good in the win. He didn't give up much, just 6 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. The game was a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.
Tom Seaver(11-8) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 10 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. 'I had my good stuff tonight.' Tanana said. 'As the game went along I started to get the feeling that I was going to strike out a bunch of hitters.'
