July 28, 1985: Tigers (58-39) at Twins (40-58)

Roy Smalley slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI and Bert Blyleven was on top of his game, blanking Detroit on just 2 hits as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers by the score of 7 to 0 at METRODOME.

Blyleven(12-8) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the Detroit batters. He didn't allow much, just 2 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Minnesota finished with 13 hits in the victory.

Todd Crane(9-7) took the loss. He was unable to control the Minnesota offense and allowed 11 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings.
