July 31, 1985: Rangers (50-51) at Brewers (41-59)

Center fielder Oddibe McDowell left the yard and scored 3 times at COUNTY STADIUM where the Texas Rangers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7 to 5. 

Texas took the lead for keeps in the top of the 3rd inning when they scored 2 runs on 3 hits. The key at-bat was by Larry Parrish who silenced the stadium when he cleared the fences for a two-run home run. Greg Harris was perfect in the ninth giving him his 22nd save on the season. 

Charlie Hough(10-9) went 8 innings allowing 5 runs for the victory. The losing pitcher was Moose Haas(8-10). He surrendered 11 hits and no walks in 7 innings.
