Texas plated all the runs they needed in the 7th inning when they tallied 3 runs on 4 hits. The big moment was provided by Pete O'Brien who thrilled the crowd when he lofted a three-run bomb. Neither team was able to score until the 7th inning. 

Charlie Hough(11-10) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Greg Harris preserved the game for Hough, recording his his 23rd save. Dave Stieb(20-6) suffered the loss. 

Texas, who had been struggling lately, moved their record to 52-59. They are now 2-8 in their last ten games. With the loss Toronto now has a record of 71-43.
