August 18, 1985: Braves (37-79) at Padres (64-55)

Kevin McReynolds jacked one out of the ballpark and had 3 RBI at JACK MURPHY STADIUM where the San Diego Padres beat the hopeless Atlanta Braves 7 to 2.

San Diego set the tone of the game in the first inning scoring 3 runners on 4 hits. That early scoring was all that Lamarr Hoyt(12-12) needed. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 3rd inning with no runs scored after that point.

Zane Smith(6-9) took the loss. He pitched 1 inning giving up 4 hits and 1 walk.
