August 20, 1985: Rangers (56-62) at Red Sox (73-46)

In a game at FENWAY PARK the Texas Rangers got by the Boston Red Sox by the score of 5 to 2. 

Texas had 3 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning. The key at-bat was by Larry Parrish who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he ripped a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners. Boston was set down quietly in the bottom of the 9th. 

Burt Hooton(6-9) went 6 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Greg Harris recorded his 26th save. Roger Clemens(14-8) was given the loss. 

With the win Texas now has a record of 56-62. With this loss, Boston has a 4-6 record of late, 73-46 overall.
