August 24, 1985: Dodgers (74-50) at Expos (58-66)

Bryn Smith threw a 2 hit shutout as the Montreal Expos beat the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 3 to 0.

Smith(9-13) was virtually untouchable. He didn't give up much, just 2 hits and no walks in 9 innings. Montreal had a total of 10 hits for the game.

Rick Honeycutt(8-6) absorbed the loss. He was unable to control the Montreal offense and allowed 10 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.

Tommy Lasorda lamented, 'Smith was really aggressive tonight. He kept coming after our hitters. Heck, why not. he kept sitting our guys down one after another - like so many bowling pins!'
