Terry Francona had 2 base hits and 4 RBI and Dan Schatzeder tossed a complete game shutout as the Montreal Expos topped the San Francisco Giants by a score of 8 to 0 at OLYMPIC STADIUM. 

Schatzeder(8-5) put on a good performance. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 6 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings dropping his ERA from 3.84 to 3.50. Montreal totaled 14 hits on the night. 

Dave Lapoint(5-15) was charged with the loss. Montreal knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Montreal now has a record of 59-67. With the loss, the San Francisco ballclub's record is 54-70.
