August 27, 1985: Padres (68-60) at Phillies (53-73)

Left fielder Jeff Stone hit a grand slam and Charles Hudson was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Philadelphia Phillies topped the San Diego Padres by a score of 10 to 2 at Shibe Park.

It was a good day for Philadelphia thanks to Stone. He emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 5th inning and stroked a single which was good for two runs in the 6th inning. Philadelphia banged out 14 hits on the night.

Hudson(5-11) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. Lamarr Hoyt(12-14) was the loser. He allowed 11 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
