Greg Walker had a big day at the plate. He hit a bases-empty home run in the 2nd inning, doubled knocking in a run in the 4th inning and lined a one-base hit in the 6th inning. Chicago simply wore out the Toronto pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.
Bannister(13-12) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 4 runs. Jim Clancy(8-13) was tagged with the loss. He allowed 7 hits and 1 walk in 5 and 1/3 innings.
