September 6, 1985: Angels (57-77) at Orioles (68-65)

Pat Clements came through with a solid 3 innings as the California Angels defeated the Baltimore Orioles 13 to 5 at MEMORIAL STADIUM. 

Gary Pettis was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He doubled in the 1st inning, lined a one-base hit resulting in a run in the 5th inning and doubled plating all three baserunners in the 6th inning. California out-hit Baltimore for the game, 17 hits to 7. 

The winning pitcher was Ron Romanick(9-17) who allowed 3 runs in 5 innings. Scott McGregor(12-6) was hit with the loss. California scored big getting 6 runs off him in 5 innings. 

With this win, California has a 57-77 record. They have been 3-7 lately. With the loss, Baltimore has a record of 6-4 lately, 68-65 overall.
