Tony Armas went deep and had 3 RBI as the mighty Boston Red Sox defeated the Cleveland Indians 7 to 5 at FENWAY PARK. 

Boston took the lead for good in the 6th inning as they scored 3 runs on 4 base hits. Despite losing, Cleveland out-hit Boston 15 to 11. 

Bruce Hurst(13-9) got the win allowing 5 runs in 7 innings. Bob Stanley recorded his 36th save. Ramon Romero(5-5) was the loser. He surrendered 7 hits and no walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
