September 7, 1985: Mariners (68-68) at Tigers (81-54)

Lance Parrish had 5 hits and 2 RBI at TIGER STADIUM as the potent Detroit Tigers beat the Seattle Mariners 7 to 4.

It was a good day for Detroit thanks to Parrish. He banged out a single in the 1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning, slapped a one-base hit in the 5th inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 7th inning and slapped a base-hit plating a run in the 8th inning. Detroit finished with 15 hits while Seattle ended up with 9.

The win went to Frank Tanana(14-8) who allowed 4 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Willie Hernandez got the save, his 32nd. Matt Young(14-12) absorbed the loss.
