September 25, 1985: Royals (82-68) at Mariners (74-78)

Seattle Mariners won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Kansas City Royals at The Kingdome pulling it out in their last at bats, 6 to 5. 

The game was won by Seattle with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Jack Perconte reached on an error. After an out was recorded, Alvin Davis stepped in and he lined a base-hit resulting in a mighty exciting win for Seattle and the 40,519 home town fans in attendance. Seattle managed 9 hits in their victory. 

The victory went to Ed Vande Berg(4-3) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. Joe Beckwith(10-6) was charged with the loss in relief. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
