September 27, 1985: Phillies (66-88) at Cubs (77-78)

The Chicago Cubs bested the Philadelphia Phillies by a 7 to 4 score at WRIGLEY FIELD. 

In the bottom of the 4th inning Chicago went on top for good scoring 3 runners on 4 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Ron Cey who excited the crowd when he clubbed a three-run home run. Philadelphia threatened in the 9th but Chicago was able to put down the rally. 

Steve Trout(13-16) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. The losing pitcher was Kevin Gross(5-17). He was knocked around by Chicago, allowing 10 hits and 4 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
