September 28, 1985: Rangers (77-77) at Mariners (74-81)

Pete O'Brien had 3 base hits and Dickie Noles allowed Bobby Valentine to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game at The Kingdome where the Texas Rangers beat the Seattle Mariners 8 to 4.

Texas tallied 4 runs in the 5th inning when they had 3 base hits. The highlight belonged to Wayne Tolleson who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he laced a single scoring two baserunners. Texas had a total of 10 hits for the game.

The victory was credited to Noles(10-9) who went the distance, allowing 4 runs. The loss was charged to Jim Beattie(4-12). He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings.
