1985 World Series Game 6: Blue Jays (2-4) at Mets (4-2)

Right fielder Darryl Strawberry had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at SHEA STADIUM as the New York Mets beat the Toronto Blue Jays by the count of 5 to 3. 

New York had 2 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning when they had 3 base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Strawberry who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he laced a base-hit scoring two baserunners. Toronto had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. 

Ron Darling(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Darling got help from Jesse Orosco who earned his 1st save. Jimmy Key(0-1) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 9 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
