October 5, 1985: Brewers (74-87) at Red Sox (92-69)

Left fielder Jim Rice had 2 base hits and Al Nipper whitewashed Milwaukee as the Boston Red Sox beat the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 1 to 0. 

Nipper(11-15) had a solid outing for Boston. He went 9 innings allowing 10 hits and 2 walks. Milwaukee had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. 

Ray Burris(14-17) was hit with the loss. He pitched 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 9 hits and 1 walk.
