October 6, 1985: Brewers (75-87) at Red Sox (92-70)

The Boston Red Sox pitching staff was overwhelmed by the Milwaukee Brewers lineup who plated 12 runs while Pete Vuckovich(4-4), with relief help from Bob Gibson, surrendered 3 runs to Boston. 

Milwaukee drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning plating one baserunner utilizing 2 base hits. Milwaukee banged out 13 hits on the afternoon. 

Gibson recorded his 3rd save. Oil Can Boyd(16-12) ended up with the loss. Milwaukee knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 6 runs in 5 innings.
