September 4, 1985: Reds (70-64) at Cardinals (81-52)

Terry Pendleton had 2 base hits as the St. Louis Cardinals won at BUSCH STADIUM in dramatic fashion over the Cincinnati Reds, the final score, 2 to 1. 

St. Louis won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Pendleton reached on an error. Two outs later Mike Jorgensen stepped in and he drew a walk. Ivan Dejesus then laced a base-knock making St. Louis victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. St. Louis had 7 hits for the night. 

Bill Campbell(4-3) allowed no runs in 1/3 of an inning, and picked up the victory. Joe Price(4-5) absorbed the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck loser, pitching 1 and 2/3 innings and not allowing an earned run.
