September 14, 1985: Blue Jays (90-53) at Yankees (80-62)

The seemingly unstoppable Toronto Blue Jays defeated the New York Yankees by a score of 8 to 5 at YANKEE STADIUM. 

Dave Stieb(26-6) struggled at times, but was good enough to get the victory. He gave up 5 runs, 12 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings and gave up 3 homeruns. Both teams ended up with 13 hits on the night. 

Stieb got relief help from Tom Henke who gained credit for his 33rd save. Ed Whitson(6-16) ended up with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 8 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
