September 15, 1985: Giants (64-78) at Braves (42-100)

Jim Gott(11-10) and Steve Shields(3-4) locked horns in a pitcher's duel with Gott and the San Francisco Giants coming out on top of the struggling Atlanta Braves 2 to 1. 

San Francisco came up with 2 runs in the 5th inning when they had 4 base hits. After two were out Gott started the scoring when he smashed a solo-shot out of the park. Jose Uribe stepped up to the plate and he cracked a solo homerun. Scott Garrelts earned the save with a perfect ninth, his 6th save.
