September 15, 1985: Red Sox (86-57) at Brewers (64-78)

Oil Can Boyd had an impressive outing as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 4 to 1 at COUNTY STADIUM. 

The game started off with Boston taking the lead in the first scoring one runner. After an out was recorded, Wade Boggs lined a one-base hit. Jim Rice struck out, unable to help the rally. Bill Buckner then reached on an error. Tony Armas came up and he reached on an error scoring the run. Boston managed 12 hits in their victory. 

Boyd(15-9) lasted until the end allowing 1 run for the win. Danny Darwin(13-15) suffered the loss. He allowed 10 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
