Craig Reynolds dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Kevin Bass then lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. Houston rapped out 14 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Jeff Calhoun(4-0) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Calhoun got help from Jeff Heathcock who earned his 1st save. Carlos Diaz(1-3) absorbed the loss in relief. He gave up 2 runs and 3 hits in 2 innings.
